She said she enjoyed the story and the pictures. She expected Little Mouse to become Cat’s sweet treat, but in this story, all of the animals are friendly. There is a snail following Little Mouse throughout the whole story. My adult eyes glanced over it, because it seemed to blend so well into the nature scenes. ![]() She noticed the illustrations were painted. She noticed right away that this was a rhyming story. She read half of the story and I read the rest to her. I tested this story out on a seven-year-old girl, who loves picture books. On Amazon, this book is listed for the age group, babies to five-year-olds.
